Restricted Scholarship Funds Overview Information on specific Restricted Scholarship funds administered by CGS is provided in this section. Current and newly admitted Harvard students may be nominated for scholarships by their Harvard Financial Aid Offices. Students do not apply directly to CGS for these scholarships. With few exceptions, awards from these funds are based upon financial need. Only those students who meet a fund's specific eligibility criteria can be nominated to CGS for a scholarship from that fund. Eligibility Criteria. Each fund has particular eligibility criteria associated with it. These criteria are based on birthplace, residency, citizenship, schools attended, ancestry, or other factors. Documentation of eligibility (see FAQs) must be provided to CGS at the time a student is nominated. Nomination Process. Students do not apply directly to CGS for Restricted Scholarships. Instead, the Harvard Financial Aid Offices forward the names of eligible candidates to CGS. In April or May each year, CGS convenes a selection committee to review all
nominations and award Restricted Scholarships for the following academic year. Index by Eligibility Criteria An index of Restricted Scholarship funds, sorted by eligibility criteria, is presented below. Each listing identifies the particular eligibility criteria followed by the applicable fund name(s) in parentheses.
