Please note that a number of the funds in this listing are Restricted Scholarship Funds. As noted below, students cannot apply directly for Restricted Scholarship Funds. Rather, their names must be forwarded to CGS by the appropriate Harvard Financial Aid Office. For information about how students can be nominated, please see the Restricted Scholarship Funds page.

AYALA Scholarship Fund (PHILIPPINES)
Eligibility for the Ayala Scholarship is limited, in order of preference, to: (1) citizens of the Philippines, (2) Asian nationals, (3) American students of Filipino descent and (4) students of Filipino or Asian history, languages, or other related subjects.

BOAS Scholarship Fund (BELGIUM and LUXEMBOURG)
The Boas Scholarship is awarded each year to a citizen of Belgium or Luxembourg who has been admitted for graduate study at Harvard University. Interes ted students must apply for consideration before entering the U.S. and prior to the start of their Harvard programs. Applications must be submitted to the Commission for Educational Exchange in Brussels, which nominates a limited number of finalists each year to the Committee on General Scholarships. Madame Marguerite CARRIERE Fellowship Fund (FRANCE)
This fellowship is awarded in alternate years to a Harvard graduate student with U.S. citizenship for study in France or to a French graduate student for study at Harvard University. It is hoped that the objective of the American student in France will be to study the French reaction to the problems concerning both countries and that a similar objective will guide the French student in America.

CHOATE Memorial Fellowship (UNITED KINGDOM)
The Choate Memorial Fellowship is awarded each year upon the nomination of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Cambridge, England, to a British citizen coming from that university for graduate study or research at Harvard University for one academic year. ECOLE NORMALE SUPERIEURE--Harvard Exchange Program (FRANCE)
This is an exchange program between Harvard University and the Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris. Students from France attending the Ecole Normale Superieure may apply to study at Harvard University for one academic year. Interested students must apply for consideration before entering the U.S. and prior to the start of their Harvard programs. This scholarship is not renewable. Fondo Colombia - Harvard Fellowship (Colombia)
This fellowship provides funds to students with Colombian citizenship who have been admitted to or are currently attending one of the graduate schools at Harvard University. The fellowship is need-based and applicants must be eligible for financial aid as determined by the Harvard school they are attending or plan to attend. The funds carry the expectation that students return to Colombia following the completion of their Harvard degree with allowances for periods of practical training.

FISHER Scholarship Fund (UNITED KINGDOM)
Fisher Scholarships are awarded each year to Harvard students with British citizenship who desire an education at Harvard but are in need of financial help.

Ama lia Lacroze De FORTABAT Fellowship Fund (ARGENTINA)
De Fortabat Fellowships are awarded each year to students with Argentine citizenship who are currently enrolled or have been admitted for graduate study at Harvard University. Awards are need-based and take academic merit into account. Priority will be given to degree candidates in fields that will enable them to contribute to: (1) Argentina's social, economic and scientific progress; (2) the formation of public policies that strengthen Argentine democracy: and (3) Argentina's academic and professional development. Applicants must commit to return to Argentina upon completion of their programs at Harvard. Current and prospective Harvard graduate students should apply for consideration directly to the Committee on General Scholarships. Jean GAILLARD Memorial Fellowship Fund (FRANCE)
Jean Gaillard Fellowships are awarded each year to citizens of France for graduate study at Harvard University or the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Interested students must apply for consideration before entering the U.S. and prior to the start of their academic programs. Application is made to the Board of Directors of the Ecole Centrale des Arts et Manufactures in Paris, who nominate finalists to the Committee on General Scholarships. Applications from interested students must reach the Ecole Centrale no later than November 15th for the following academic year. This fellowship is not renewable. Harvard Club of Munich Scholarships are awarded to German graduate students at Harvard.

HARVARD LOS-ANDES Fund (COLOMBIA)
The Los Andes-Harvard fund provides loans to students and faculty from Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia, who are admitted for graduate study at Harvard University. Awards are need-based and applicants must be eligible for financial aid as determined by the Harvard schools they plan to attend. Interested students must apply for consideration before entering the U.S. and prior to the start of their Harvard programs. Upon completion of a graduate degree, recipients have a legal commitment to return to Colombia. Harvard Univeristy Associates of Canada Scholarships are awarded each year to Canadian citizens attending Harvard University.

HELLENIC Harvard Foundation Scholarship Fund (GREECE)
Each year, the Hellenic Harvard Foundation in Athens awards scholarships to graduate students with Greek citizenship who have been accepted for admission to Harvard University. Interested students must apply for consideration before entering the U.S. and prior to the start of their Harvard programs. Recipients are required to return to Greece upon completion of their Harvard programs. However, an allowance for a period of practical training of up to one year in the U.S. is possible. The Holtzer Fellowship is awarded each year to a male student of German birth and German education for study in any school of Harvard University. Frank KNOX Fellowship Fund (AUSTRALIA, CANADA, NEW ZEALAND and U.K.)
Frank Knox Fellowships are awarded to citizens of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom for graduate study or research at Harvard University. Interested students must apply for consideration before entering the U.S. and prior to the start of their Harvard programs. The fellowship pays tuition and health insurance and provides a stipend. Each year, Knox Fellowships are awarded to three students from Australia, three students from Canada, three students from New Zealand and four to six students from the U.K. For further information and to apply for consideration, prospective Harvard students should contact the appropriate office indicat ed below. LOPEZ Scholarship Fund (PHILIPPINES)

LYMAN AND GREW Memorial Scholarships (CHINA)
Lyman and Grew Scholarships are awarded each year to Harvard students with exceptional ability and unusual promise in future medical service. Scholarships are restricted to graduate students in Harvard's School of Dental Medicine, Medical School, and the School of Public Health. These scholarships are intended to be awarded to students from the People's Republic of China who plan to return to China.

MENZIES Scholarship Fund-Harvard Club of Australia (AUSTRALIA)
The Menzies Scholarship is awarded each year to an Australian citizen who has been admitted to any graduate school at Harvard University. Interested students must apply for consideration before entering the U.S. and prior to the start of their Harvard programs. Students apply for consideration through our local representative in Australia, who reviews all applications and nominates finalists for consideration by the Committee on General Scholarships. Peter D.C. THOMAS Scholarship Fund (CANADA)
Thomas Scholarships are awarded each year to Canadian students at Harvard University. Students in the Law, Medical, Divinity, and Business Schools are excluded from eligibility.
