The Committee on General Scholarships oversees several scholarship and fellowship programs for Harvard students who wish to conduct research or study outside of Cambridge. The programs include exchange programs with international universities as well as traveling fellowships for study or research. In all cases, the scholarships and fellowships support a full academic year. The Committee does not fund shorter periods of research or summer research projects.

Traveling programs available through the Committee on General Scholarships include:

• University Traveling Fellowships for Dissertation and Post Graduate Research (open to graduate students or students graduating from Harvard graduate or professional schools)

  Frederick Sheldon Traveling Fellowships
  Australian Research Fellowships (for doctoral research projects in Australia)

• Traveling Fellowships to France
  

  Ecole Normale Superieure Exchange Fellowship (open to graduate students and students graduating from Harvard College)
  The Augustus Clifford Tower Fellowship (open to graduate students and students graduating from Harvard College)
  The Williams-Lodge Scholarship (open to students graduating from Harvard College)
  The GSAS-Sciences-Po Exchange Fellowship (open to degree students enrolled in GSAS)

• The Luce Scholars Program in Asia
  (open to graduating seniors, graduate students, alumni, or junior faculty)
• Harvard University-China Scholarship Council Exchange Scholarships
  for study at Chinese universities (Open to undergraduates, graduate students, or students graduating from any Harvard school)
• D.A.A.D. Grants for study or research in Germany
  (open to graduating seniors, graduate students, and post-docs)
• The Harlech Scholarship
  for study at New College, Oxford University (open to graduating seniors and graduate students)
• The Jorge Paulo Lemann Fellowships
  for dissertation research in Brazil (open to Ph.D. candidates)
• Programs for students graduating from Harvard College managed by the Office of Career Services (please visit the OCS website and follow the links to the fellowships database).
