The Committee on General Scholarships (CGS) at Harvard University administers scholarship, fellowship, and loan funds that provide over $5 million in financial assistance to more than 400 Harvard students each year. Our funds fall into three general categories:

•  Restricted Scholarship Funds
•  Funds for International Students
•  Traveling Fellowship Funds

The funds administered by CGS comprise only a small portion of the financial assistance available to Harvard students. Each of Harvard's 10 Graduate Schools as well as Harvard College (undergraduates) administers its own financial aid, scholarship, and loan programs for its students. Prospective, incoming, and current Harvard students should contact the appropriate Harvard Financial Aid Office for information about school-specific financial assistance. For further information about the structure and functions of CGS, click on About CGS. For general responses to questions frequently asked about CGS, click on FAQs.
